Sarah went a few miles (45) north to visit the Wolf Creek fire area today. If it were a clearer day, you’d be able to see one monstrous plume of smoke rising up. Once she got up in the near vacinity, the air was so laden with smoke that all attempts at adjusting the camera only yielded lighter images.
Well, afternoon anyways. Yesterday we took Nora accross the street to meet her favorite governor, Mr. Brian Schweitzer. I do not know who was more delighted — her or the governor. Either way, it was a great photo-op and a good getaway from the confines of our home. The fresh air did us good, and Nora has gotten her political feet wet. I mean, how many 3 mo-olds get to meet their governor? And how many governors enjoy holding 3 mo-olds?
At any rate, now Nora has something to bring to Show-and-Tell when Schweitzer is in the Oval Office. Right?
Scienticians at Arizona State U have apparently discovered exploding geysers of frozen carbon dioxide and sand on Mars. Those who know me know that I love ice and geysers, so would could be better than an ice geyser?
Today, I ask CNN.com, “Why would I care if Penelope Cruz has seen Suri?”
Why is this a top news story? Better yet, why is this news? As ever, I am on the lookout for a news provider that will commit itself to providing news stories that are relative to real world events. As far as I am concerned, little miss Cruise is non-news. Unless of course she turns out to be massively deformed or an alien love-child. Other than that, it’s just another baby on the planet. As Sarah’s great-uncle Kermit said when he learned that she was pregnant, “That happens all the time.”
