  • 07.06.07 Nora or Muffit posted in comedy, nora, personal, photes

Nora has found a way to pull the rubber bottom off of her new sippy cups. She seems to like chewing on one edge and having the rest of the thing stuck against her face. Amazingly, she can still see and walk around with this thing on her face. My first thought was of that old robot dog/bear thing from the old Battlestar Galactica series, Muffit.

  • 05.01.07 The Chronicles of George posted in comedy, geekery, personal

    From the homepage:

Welcome to the Chronicles of George. This web site is a collection of helpdesk tickets gleaned from the support database of my previous job. I was employed there for twenty months, and during that time I had the misfortune of encountering an individual whom I will call George.

George is, quite simply, the worst helpdesk technician ever.

His grasp on the written word is shakier than a canoe full of epileptics. His knowledge of computers is thinner than a Vegas dancer’s chiffon underpants. He is, by all standards of intelligence, a rock.

If you are a geek, you will find it funny. If you aren’t a geek, you still might chuckle.

  • 04.09.07 I’m Chevy Chase? posted in comedy, personal, photes, the peculiar

    And you’re not.

This weekend, Sarah and I visited the local grocery store. A place I visit at least twice a week with Nora. On this particular day, an older woman was our cashier. As I bagged our wares at the far end of the checkout, Sarah and the cashier exchanged some words and some chuckles. Later, in the car, Sarah tells me that the older woman had made a peculiar observation/comment concerning me. In a rough paraphrase, the cashier said “Every time your husband comes into the store, he reminds me of a young Chevy Chase.”

    Well? You be the judge.

On a whim, I decided to search YouTube today to see if there were any amusing Transformers parody vids. I found one that was able to give me a few chuckles.

  • 02.19.07 Eagles Fly on IYI posted in comedy, personal, www

I haven’t laughed like this in a long time. Seems there was a mishap during the editing process, and this program lost half of their eagle footage. So, they wrote a song to help fill time. Brilliantly funny.

Nora has discovered that her tiny stuffed octopus/squid thingy is small enough to fit in her mouth. Just wait until she discovers how tasty the real thing can be.

Nora finally got her foot in her mouth. Sadly, I don’t think it tasted as good as she had hoped it would.

  • 11.17.06 Dora set to explora the back doora posted in comedy, personal, the peculiar, www

The fine folks at BoingBoing linked to this today. It’s astonishing. Clearly, somebody in the Aquapet marketing department missed the ball on this one.

Cousin Marc decided to visit the company’s product page and found Lugi. A green Aquapet that dislikes fingers. This snot-ball must be targeted towards boys.

  • 11.15.06 The little Don King posted in comedy, nora, personal, photes

I’m not sure what Nora was doing in her crib this afternoon that made her hair stick straight up in the air when she woke up from her nap, but it’s awesome. I had to take some pictures of her because she looked so hilarious. Look out Don King, here comes Nora Wolfe!

So, like… what kind of girl do you think I am? Blue has NEVER looked good on me. And bears? Puh-lease. I’d rather die that wear bears out in public. I will not be sleeping on your lap tonite.
