Oh – muh – gaw. Miss Nora is like so adorable I hardly care at all when she’s all like pulling my hair and stuff. I mean, who could get mad at her? She’s like soooo cute! It’s really only a matter of time before she like figures out that like pulling and stuff can hurt, right? I mean, she’s just a baby – what does she know? She’s like such a little person. We can’t expect her to do everything right on the first try. Like you like have to totally feel for her story. She’s been struggling for so long. It’s just really great to see her like do things, you know? She’s soooo cute!

So, like the ‘rents had Gordon and I all locked up for the past few days. We were totally going crazy. I mean, there are birds and bugs and shade trees outside. We can’t be expected to just sleep on the bed all day. Can we? I mean, that’s like sooo cruel and unusual punishment. We deserve to go outside. And go outside we did. Mrs. Wolfe finally broke down to our whining and opened the front door for us.

Like, did I miss a memo or something? It’s totally crummy outside. It’s raining, it’s wet, and there are like totally no birds around. Did they all fly south for the Winter? It’s not even Winter yet! Gosh! All I want to do is kill a grasshopper. And maybe lay in the sun. Or go visit my lady friends down the block. What’s a girl to do? I can’t be stuck inside for another day! I’ll go crazy!

Like, it was soooo hot out today. I heard the ‘rents saying it was up to like 95 or something. I guess that’s hot, but like I don’t even know because I can’t read the termo-thing. What’s that called? With the numbers and that line? Whatever.

I spent much of the day under the bird feeder in the shade. But even there I was as hot as a piece of corn in a frying pan. Is that even an expression? God! The heat is getting to me. I just want it over!

You know it’s like so crazy around here. Like, totally. I mean, the ‘rents have been running around like a coupla mice without tails. They’ve painted one of the rooms yellow and built an upside down cage in it. Oh muh god… WEIRD!

At least they still have time to pet and scratch me. I love that so much. I swear, I could have my belly scratched aaaaaaaalll day long. I don’t care. Who needs birds?
