• 06.22.09 New Photoset: Colfax International Fair ’09 posted in miles, nora, personal, photes

  I’m not sure how “international” it is, but it’s certainly a fair… and it’s in Colfax, WI. There were brats, funnel cakes, midway rides and cattle. So, that’s about all you need for a fair in my book.

  As expected, Nora had an absolute blast. She even showed a cow in the President’s Class.

  Miles, though… was another story. If he wasn’t sleeping, he was melting. We had to strip him down to his diapers to get him comfortable at one point. We’ll have to toughen him up for the next fair outing.

• 06.06.09 Bigger and Bigger posted in comedy, nora, personal

  This morning, while Nora and Sarah were coloring in their coloring books (yes, Nora has appointed certain books to be Sarah’s and Mine), Nora said “I’m getting bigger and bigger! Soon, I can run faster and jump much higher than the other sheep.”

  Which just happens to be a quote from one our favorite books in the house, Marvin Wanted More.

  Mom & Dad: Oh?
  Nora: He needs some hair!
  Mom & Dad: What man?
  Nora: The white man.
  Mom & Dad: (looking aroud) Where?
  Nora: Right there (pointing to head of Storm Trooper sitting on the dash of the car).
