  • 01.24.09 Smokin’ Paintin’ in the Boy’s Room posted in nora, personal, photes

We’ve finally begun what will probably be the slow process of painting the boy’s room. We chose two different blues and are going to see about using one as an accented wall. Not sure how that will work out… we’ll see.

At any rate, Nora sure likes helping out!

Oh, we celebrated some old man’s birthday. Nora kept calling him ‘grandpa.’

  • 01.10.09 First Haircut! / Game Night! posted in personal

Nora got her first haircut today. It was about as pleasant an experience as a father could ask for. Nora didn’t cry and simply sat quietly while the woman cut her hair. She even let the stylist put a braid in her hair. Now she calls the place the “braid store.”

Later on, after Nora went to bed, we had some friends over for a game night. We played a DVD Name that 80s Tune game and then some Balderdash. The Name that Tune game sounds awesome, but it’s not.

  • 01.02.09 Nora and the Blocks posted in personal

Like father, like daughter. Nora has been playing with LEGO Duplo blocks more and more. It probably helps that her cousin Colton gave her a bunch of his old blocks for Christmas. Her favorite thing to build is a floor. She simply covers the LEGO baseplate with all of the little blocks.
