Grandma Cooke and I decided to take Nora down to Eau Claire’s annual International Fall Festival. She LOVED the petting zoo, but not as much as the garlic chive cheese curds. Guess she really IS a Wisconsin girl at heart. Note the Sons of Norway float. I believe it was one of three in the parade. Uff da.

Sarah’s cousin-Ben had a layover in town, so we went and picked him up for lunch. We went to Famous Dave’s and loosened our collective belts.

Up until now, the cats have been sequestered indoors. We got them new tags and believe them to be sufficiently familiar with the smell and location of our house that they can be trusted outdoors. The same goes for Nora (with adult supervision).

Easily my second favorite season of the year, Autumn is upon us. The temperature dropped 20 degrees in the last 2 days and the leaves are turning and falling. All we need now are some carved pumpkins and snowy trick-or-treaters.
