    From the homepage:

Welcome to the Chronicles of George. This web site is a collection of helpdesk tickets gleaned from the support database of my previous job. I was employed there for twenty months, and during that time I had the misfortune of encountering an individual whom I will call George.

George is, quite simply, the worst helpdesk technician ever.

His grasp on the written word is shakier than a canoe full of epileptics. His knowledge of computers is thinner than a Vegas dancer’s chiffon underpants. He is, by all standards of intelligence, a rock.

If you are a geek, you will find it funny. If you aren’t a geek, you still might chuckle.

  • 05.01.07 Scope posted in personal

Seven and half years after having the ACL in my left leg rebuilt, I am going in to have the same knee scoped. What does that mean? Well, they doc is going to go in and clean out any new debris from the previously torn miniscus as well as clean up any new scar tissue build-up that may have generated since the original surgery. For a little over a year now, the knee has been “rough.” It pops into place when I fully extend it. And when I bend it up and down, I can feel (and hear) a sort of crinkling sound. That sounds lends me to believe there is some more loose fragments of the miniscus, and the popping has the doc guessing that there is new scar tissue making the joint a little rough.

In case you are wondering why I didn’t get this done a year ago, her name is Nora. I actually had a surgery scheduled last year to clean out my knee, but it happened to come too closely to Nora’s pending birth date. So, I cancelled it.

The new date is May 14th. Just 2 weeks away. I was lucky to slip in so soon. As we are headed back to Wisco for Memorial Day to get Nora baptised. It will be nice to have a clean operating knee again.
