    Ah lilacs….

The huge, old lilac bush growing on the border of our property was one of the best things about our Helena home. Lilacs are my favorite flower, and its billowy branches provided great shade whilst laying in our hammock or playing with the cats in the yard.

Well, now it’s gone. Our “neighbor” (I use that term lightly) claims the roots were clogging a sewer line….and he chopped it down. All of it. Chopped. It. Down.

Technically, it’s on their property, so they can do what they want, but dammit! I’m so upset.

Now everyone and their neighbor can watch us whenever we step outside and the birds have lost their perching place and feeding grounds.

It’s just not the same. Not the same at all. A tragedy, I say, and a good reason to move forward with relocation.

  • 04.13.07 Craft Survey posted in friends

Our good friend Monica is going for her Ph.D. in fashion. How cool is that?

She’s currently in the research phase of a term paper about the culture of crafting, and she wants you (yes, you) to help her out. She’s prepared a bunch of questions and I’ve coded them all pretty-like. So, if you spend your free time crafting your own stugg, then maybe you could take a little survey?

    Take the survey!
